Aluminium casement windows, supply only
by QFORT for Vitrova
An outward-opening aluminium casement window, made to measure for builders, installers and self-builders. Choose the storm-proof Classic sash on a 70 mm frame or the Flush sash on a 79 mm frame. Both are triple glazed as standard.
The Signature Casement is the QFORT Aera system, made to order from the specification in your Vitrova quote.

Classic has a storm-proof sash that sits proud of a 70 mm frame. Flush sets the sash level with a 79 mm frame, closer to a traditional timber casement. Sash sizes, glass and handles are the same for both.
A standard side-hung sash goes up to 1,500 mm high. Where an opening needs more, a Plus sash takes side-hung sashes to 1,750 mm and top-hung sashes to 1,800 × 1,800 mm. Your quote shows which sash each opening uses.
With triple glazing the window is certified at Uw 1.04 W/m²K for a 1,440 × 1,330 mm window, inside the 1.4 W/m²K figure Part L sets for windows in existing homes in England. Double glazing is available, and your quote flags it where it falls short.
Enter the opening and pick an arrangement. You will see whether each sash is made as Standard or Plus, or not at all, and how the glazing compares with Part L.
Fits with Standard sashes.

Pane sizes are approximate: each sash is a little smaller than its share of the frame. Your quote works the exact sizes and U-value for your window.

On the Classic style the sash closes against the face of the frame and sits proud of it, the usual storm-proof look, on a 70 mm frame. On the Flush style the sash closes into the frame and sits level with it, on a 79 mm frame. From outside, a Classic jamb reads 65 mm and a Flush jamb 79 mm. Both take the same sash sizes, glass and handles; a few frame add-ons and the angled bay coupling are Classic only.
A Standard side-hung sash can be 350–930 mm wide and up to 1,500 mm high; a Standard top-hung sash up to 1,200 × 1,500 mm. The Plus sash extends side-hung sashes to 1,750 mm high and top-hung sashes to 1,800 × 1,800 mm, up to 100 kg. A whole window, including fixed panes, can be up to 6,000 × 3,000 mm.
Approved Document L sets 1.4 W/m²K for new and replacement windows in existing homes in England. Triple glazed, the window is certified at Uw 1.04 W/m²K for a 1,440 × 1,330 mm window. Double glazed, it is certified at 1.44 W/m²K for a 1,230 × 1,480 mm window, which is above 1.4. The figure for your window depends on its size and glass, and is shown on your quotation.
Yes. The window system was tested to PAS 24:2016 by Exova (UK) Ltd in 2018, and PAS 24 can be specified on every style and sash. If you need it for Building Regulations Part Q, ask us for the test details before you rely on them.
Yes. Vents of 2,500 mm² or 4,000 mm² each fit in a deeper head frame, or in the head of a Plus sash. Your quote sets how many each window has.
Side-hung sashes can be fitted with fire-escape (egress) hinges that open the sash wide. Whether an opening leaves enough clear space to escape depends on its size, so we check each one before ordering.
Glass from 24 to 44 mm thick, double or triple glazed. Triple low-E, argon-filled glass is standard. Obscure, laminated and solar control glass come double glazed only.
No. Vitrova supplies made-to-measure windows to builders, installers and self-builders. If you are using your own installer, the quote includes the order sizes and details they need, and a site survey can be added to check the openings before anything is ordered.
